Problems faced by Thoofan
With more than a month now, the agitations and movements in Seemandra regions of South had wrecked the Tollywood movies. Most of the big budget movies on which a huge success turnover was eyed on at the beginning of the year are now standing on a uncertain note as to when they will screen. Included in it, was also Ram Charan, the most hyped super star of Tollywood’s Thoofan. Ram Charan with this very movie, whose Hindi name is Zanjeer is actually stepping stones in Bollywood. But, the huge uncertain strikes and angry mob reactions were causing in a huge drop in screen capacity of the “Thoofan”.
Distributors refusing to screen the premiere
With situations to such levels, that the distributors were in no way ready to screen the most hyped movie in most part of the Seemandhra regions. It was seen that the production banner, Reliance was already get a blow of 30 % loss before the movie was about to release. This was enough to create anger in the production house giants. Thus, finally they moved to court appealing for the right to screen the movies in a proper and safe way. In the recent times, most of the films are falling into a derailment and some complete super hits are turn out to be a major loss due to lack screen availability. It can be rightly said, that the Thoofan really is breaking it and trying to create a dominion of its own.
The Thoofan team appealed to the Andhra court earlier the day, to the police and the directors to board to take necessary steps so that a smooth and proper release of the much awaited film can take place. The film is scaled to release on 6th September. The Thoofan team took up this cause though for them as a primary one but spoke of all the films that have been caused to derail due to the political mishaps. The company stated in their whole cost of production and promotion and initial contracts with all the cinema houses in South. The team further said that a drawing back at the last minute can cope to a huge loss for the two films.
Hearing to all the complains and the demands of the Reliance digital, the AP court agreed. The DGP of the state has been passed strict orders to invigilate that Thoofan and Zanjeer both gets a smooth row of release. The court promised the team that there will be no dis-ordinary mob reaction faced and the security will be in due course to take actions.
Does this bring a new to release big films?
With Zanjeer and Thoofan making their comfort zone through court proceedings , will this really end to the long debacle of the uncertain release of the Power star, Pawan Kalyan’s much awaited film “Attarintiki Daredi” or will they still look for the comfortable market to cast the movie.
