Ram Charan
Posted On 27 Dec 2013 - 10:53 AM

Every human experiences highs and lows in his/her career and neither an actor nor 2013 is an exception to this! Especially for Mega Powerstar Ram Charan Tej, it’s been a biggest disappointing year (Both personally and professionally). Starting from the roadside brawl in May to the debacle of his most-anticipated Bollywood debut, it was all dices loaded against Charan.

Road side Rachcha:
After debuting as a heir of Megastar Chiranjeevi in 2007 with Chirutha, Ram Charan embarked to become a star actor and later ensued the crown ‘Mega Powerstar’ in a very short span of time. Being a son of a Union Minister and Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan is enjoying huge following, craze and celebrity status in AP. With so much at stake, his roadside brawl with a couple of IT employees on 5th May 2013 has costed him a lot and this egregious act has hurt all the Mega fans. Since then, he earned a ‘bad boy’ image and his debased antics were the talk of the town for the next few weeks. Though the actor came out to media later and explained his side of the entire episode, unfortunately it hasn’t got the enough attention.

Zanjeer Thussu:
Yet another miserable story is the actor’s most-anticipated Bollywood flick Zanjeer (Toofan in Telugu), which was released on 6th September amidst huge protests and agitations. Apart from the topic of hit/flop, this film has set an example for ‘how NOT to make a movie’. The film remained as a ramshackle remake of Zanjeer (1973) which couldn’t carry its sole. On a whole, Ram Charan fell from grace as a result of this film’s debacle.

Nayak Hammaya:
If there’s something that has to be drafted in favor of Ram Charan, it would be the actor’s successful film Nayak, which was released on 9th January 2013. Directed by Vinayak, the film gives a good B-Movie tone which seemed appropriate for mass audience. The film later dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam as well.

Yevadu Pareshaan:
Above all, the thing which should be still haunting Ram Charan Tej is his Yevadu’s theatrical release. Though the film was ready by 31st July 2013, it has been reeling under series of postponements due to Telangana and Samaikyandhra agitations etc since then. Finally, the makers of the film have slated its release for Pongal 2014 [still we put our fingers crossed!]

Illu-Lolli
Adding to his ill fate, Ram Charan was charge-sheeted by Enforcement Directorate for owning a plot illegally in Emaar Hills Township at Boulder Hills, Gachibowli of late this year.
