In the beginning of this year the crew members of the film Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru has moved to Japan for shooting the film after a 29 year gap till the last Tamil film to be shoot at Japan which was Jappanil Kalyanarum.two other films has also decide to follow the lead which are Gokul’s Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara and Simbu’s Vettai Mannan.according to G.Dhananjoy,the south business head of a studio, the decision was taken due to the fact that they wanted a song to be shoot in a virgin location which Japan was best suited for as the audience has already became acquainted with other countries like Switzerland, Australia and NewZealand.The reason for director Gokul in choosing Japan was the fact that he was shooting a song where the hero was singing about giving a birthday gift to the heroine and the lyrics included something related to flower. So the flower park at Kobe in Japan was suitable. Also there was a scene where the hero will ask the birds to sing a song and wish the heroine happy birthday. As there is a bird park nearby in Kobe so the location was ideal for that song from all perspective and also the fact that this location has never been used before played an important role in the selection.

The cast of Veda Mannan has also moved on to Japan for shooting purposes. Also there has been a buzz that Japan will hold an audio launch of superstar Rajnikanth’s Kochadaiyyan due to the huge fan following of that star in that country. Moreover shooting in Japan is costly as the transport fare is very high and the cost of hiring any instrument or objects is high. So the directors are ready to take that risk so that they can add uniqueness to the location of their film which will lead to huge profit.
