The current trend of taking a break
Tollywood movies have been strongly dependent on the formulae based commercial films and the star power of some superstars for getting commercial success year after year. They don’t lay stress on making realistic movies or any film with a social message. They only make films that will make them huge money. So they repeat the same type of films year after year. The tollywood actors keep on doing those types of movies and delivering hits after hits. The performance of these superstars has been very constant. The recent political chaos in Hyderabad could not stop the movies of Hyderabad from being successful. This clearly indicates about the golden phase of tollywood in the present days. Now this industry is in a much safer level than previous and the chance of the films getting flop is much reduced. In this situation, the big superstars are taking a break from the movies for a few times and allowing the younger stars to make their mark.
The reason for taking the break
The tollywood heroes have been giving hits after hits over the decade. They have delivered in a constant basis. There has been always a high expectation from the fans before the release of each movie. This creates a lot of mental stress upon them. Apart from the fans, they also had to meet the expectations of the producers and directors of the movie. Also almost 200 movies get released each other. So each star works almost in five movies per year. So the workload on them is huge. In every profession after working for a constant basis, a break is very much necessary so that they get the scope to relax mentally and physically. The actors are no exception to this rule. After working for so many years, superstars like Ramcharan and Ravi Teja has not made any announcement regarding their next project. They are at present taking a break from the industry. The industry is going through a golden phase and young newcomer stars are also delivering hits. So, there is nothing much to worry about the commercial success of the movies of tollywood industry. So it is the ideal time for the tollywood stars to take a break from their work.
