Kamal Hassan’s beautiful daughter, who had reportedly been stalked for quite some time, was within the safety of her house in Mumbai, when she opened the door on hearing a knock. An unidentified man tried to force himself in, and tried to throttle Shruti, who, with the presence of her mind, smashed the fingers of the man by slamming the door shut. The man later identified himself as fan of the actress Though the actress has not filed a case, the police decided to take up the case and act on their own, starting with the investigation to find whether the stalker was the person who attacked.. This shocking incident definitely put a question in the minds of people about the safety of women.

Prasad Rao, father of the actress in her early 20’s, had filed a missing person’s report. The actress had earlier informed her family members of going for a shooting schedule, and the police has not been able to find her ever since, neither has it been determined whether it is some kind of a criminal case like a kidnap. Veteran Tollywood actress, Vanisri, was attacked by a mob while she was campaigning for Congress. While some claim thather statement against women provoked the attack of the crowd, others say that it was an attack from the YSR Congress.
