The Tollywood star or the present heart throbbed Allu Arjun has got an immense fan following in America too which was quite clear from the response received by his previous films like Julayi and Iddaramayilatho, over there. But the marginal sum of Rs 3 crore was never crossed by any of his releases till date which somehow always affected the star despite of receiving that kind of response outside the country. Beating all these records his new movie Race Gurram has acquired the same forte in just three days. Presently it is topping the USA business chart and has successful in proving a stiff competition to the film Bhoothnath Returns starring Megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Release and Collection at USA Box Office
The movie was released a day prior to its release in India and that was on 10th of April and it stroked more than 66 plus screens with a very welcoming response on that Thursday. The response though unexpected and totally unpredictable went bigger with each passing day the crowd and the demand for the movie seemed to be rising more thereby adding to the business. Till now the movie has made a sum of around 5.08 crore at the USA Box Office in just four days and the amount is seen to be rising more with each passing day. If we draw the comparison till today Mahesh Babu’s 1 Nennokadine has been the highest money making movie at the USA Box Office with a sum of around 5.82 crore from around 105 screens but considering the present scenario of Race Gurram which is expected to beat all the records by far and now. In the same place Bhoothnath Returns was able to make something of around 46.31 lakh from around 45 screens over there.
Indian Box Office
Since the very release of the promos and the teaser the movie was successful in raising the expectations higher and becoming one of the most awaited movies of this year. In Indian Box Office the movie became the most talked about with a huge amount of pre ticket booking done for the same film and it was released on 1000 plus screens with a 100% of occupants for all the screens. Overall the movie went houseful even during the morning shows. After the positive response of the audience in the very first show the crowd somehow increased marginally. In the very first weekend the movie has collected somewhat more than 20 crore worldwide without considering the Sunday figures.
For America’s opening weekend this time the biggest opener will be this movie which is going to turn as the highest grosser. The movie is going viral and is completely unstoppable over there. It has successful in acquiring a position of number 12 in USA box office charts beating and competing with many Hollywood movies of that high standard. Allu Arjun is emerging as a superstar after this movie as the present scenario will double the count of his fan following and Surender Reddy has already been commendable.
