It seems that Jagapathi Babu has regained his fame and popularity or so people say. He is to be seen in an upcoming film slated to be released on the 10 of May of this year. His career took a sharp turn for the better with his much-acclaimed role of an anti-hero in the most recently released blockbuster hit ‘Legend’. The upcoming release has been titled ‘April Fool’ and though its shooting is now over but the project is going through some of the customary post-production work now. Starring opposite the hero i.e., Jagapathi Babu is Bhoomika chawla who had made her debut in Bollywood with actor Salman Khan in ‘TereNaam’. Many are of the opinion that the duo has sizzled on-screen and there are many hot stills of the actress from the movie already flying in the internet.
There has also been news of Jagapathi Babu asking for a hike in remuneration after his successful film ‘Legend’ in which he plays a villain. In an interview of a local TV channel he has admitted openly that there was nothing wrong in asking for a raise adding on to this he also said that all these past years he has always given out money and now it was time for him to save and collect some. The veteran actor also believes that he is stubborn like his character ‘Jithendra’ in his previous film and the way he has done justice to it has made him all the more accountable. It was proved true when he landed the lead role in ‘April Fool’ slated to be released soon.
Dr. K SrikanthIyengar has directed the film and G.L. Srinivas has produced it under the banner of Sudha Entertainments. The producer has also gone on record saying that the film will be a socio fantasy which will delight viewers and fans alike with its light but absurd comedy. The scenes between the lead roles are very fresh and have a lot of humor. Jagapathi Babu who was recently adored and applauded in his last project ‘Legend’ will be seen again as the handsome hero saving his damsel in distress. However the director said that this is not a typical script and the story will have a lot of unexpected twists, turns and climaxes along with a few laughs thrown in that will keep the audiences glued in their seats.
The rest of the cast of the film include the all-time favorite baddie of Bollywood Gulshan Grover, Thagubothu, Dhanraj, Rallapalli, Ramesh etc., their acting have also received good reviews from the critics who have seen it’s the screening of its first shots for a select few. Randhir Srushti has also landed a vital role in the movie. The music for the film has been rendered by Dr. Bunty. The lyrics of the musical score and songs were penned down by B. Madhu and the cinematography was touched upon by Tanikella Rajendra Prasad.
Although many have high hopes from the film, it’s doing well can only be predicted after the movie hits the theaters on 10th May. The success of this film can bode well for Bhoomika Chawla’s stagnant career as well. The audiences get to see her in a whole new avatar in this flick. She adds the oomph factor in the movie.
