Composer Anirudh, who made the entire nation go freaking crazy over the dance floors to the tune of Kolaveri Di, is all set to release his debut individual music video in coagulation with The Times of India group. It’s a campaign called Namma Chennai Chance-ey illa celebrating the spirit of the city of Chennai. The young composer has been very laborious in composing the song which incorporates all the elements of Chennai. This is his way of giving tribute to Chennai where he has worked for years and the city in return has given him his due recognition. The lyrics and the shots of the videos are from the city itself. The lyrics reveal the magic of Chennai in bits and pieces in its every line. The video shows important places and even places of fun in Chennai which every Chennaitte can relate to. The video has been shot in different locations of Mount Road, Mylapore, Besant Nagar Beach, and Napier Bridge which are Chennai’s most favourite spots. The USP of the song is its lyrics penned by lyricist Vignesh Shivam who happens to be Anirudh’s friend. The lyrics are easy in its own way and tell about the places of Chennai where people spend most of their time. According to Anirudh, a non Chennaitte can also become fond of Chennai after listing to this song. The song is all about the city and makes the listener addictive to the city. Use of words like Macha and Mamu had added extra flavour to the song.
Choreographer Satish has choreographed the song video. Anirudh who has previously done Chennai City Gangsta and Maan Karate was comfortable enough with the steps. It was fun for him to rehearse and deliver the shots. The song which is fun in itself raised the excitement level of the entire floor and no one could resist themselves from tapping their foot to the song. As per Anirudh, the city of Chennai has appreciated his works and has accepted him at an early stage of his career.
