Mega star Cheeranjeevi is set to make a comeback to Tollywood for his 150th movie. And when someone like him stands on the cusp of such a glory, the media usually goes berserk.
As things stand, Chiru – as he is fondly called – stands at 149 films including his cameo roles. And not surprisingly, a number of rumors are doing the rounds about the much hyped landmark film. He was last seen doing a cameo in Magadheera starring his son Ram Charan, in 2009.
The rumors about the 150 th
Yesterday it was made a public knowledge that R. Narayana Murthy has registered the name Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy as an upcoming film. The title story has recently been heavily touted to be the megastar’s 150th film to be directed by V.V. Vinayak but it fell through. Also Chiru is supposedly considering working with K Raghavendra Rao.
Ram Charan has already announced that the 150th will be a home production. But that is apparently not enough to stop front-line producers from flocking in to get their hands on Chiru’s milestone. Recently C. Kalyan expressed his desire to produce the much anticipated movie.
Moving on from producers to directors, Puri Jagannath has revealed that he has been waiting for Chiru’s call inviting him to direct the 150th movie. Puri added that Amitabh Bachchan himself suggested Chiru that he be the director of the momentous film. While Ram Gopal Verma tweeted saying it would be a big mistake if Chiranjeevi doesn’t direct his own movie this time.
Meanwhile, strongest rumors suggest that Ram Charan has already roped in the Paruchuri brother duo to write the script. Director V.V. Vinayak is also rumored to have been signed by Ram Charan, with Puri Jagannath tipped to be another close contender.
Star attraction
With Chiranjeevi set to make a return for his landmark, the media is abuzz with another aspect of the occasion – who would star with him in the movie?
Chiranjeevi said earlier that if he was ever to make a comeback, he would prefer Tamannah to be his co-star. Rumors also point towards Anushka Shetty.
However, the biggest star attraction to the occasion is Amitabh Bachchan. Bachchan has promised to appear as a cameo in Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, according to Puri Jagannath.
Rumor also has it that Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi are planning a multi starrer to be directed by Puri Jagannath titled Auto Johnny.
Chiru’s preparation for the movie
Chiranjeevi has been out of the industry for the past six years owing to his political stint. It’s no secret he is out of shape. The megastar is out to change all that. Chiru is said to have signed up for an Ayurvedic massage and rejuvenation therapy at a spa in Kerala.
Chiranjeevi is going in all guns blazing to look perfect in his milestone film. Apart from the rejuvenation therapy, he has been working out regularly and is said to be on a strict diet. He is even rumored to be brushing up his famous dance moves. Looks like Cheeranjeevigaaru is ready to take the nation by storm once more.
His 150th venture is set to be launched on 22nd August, his birthday.
