Shankar, the famous south Indian director has been in and around the news for creating a sensation because of his super-hit film I. the film is rumored to have crossed the 200 crores mark in the box office, although it was received with mixed review from the critics’ section. Despite having Vikram in his cast, such a big hit has been possible because of the tag of Shankar. Because of his directorial ability, even the presence of star is not mandatory to make a box office hit. He has been an expert in successfully pulling off high budget films constantly and hence, has attracted the attention of quite a few producers. Currently, he is due working with the legendary superstar Rajnikanth for the sequel of Robo or Enthiran. But, the real news is something else.South Indian Film Targets Hollywood

The role of heroine

The news has been around for quite a few days and it is difficult to stop the buzzing. The expected film, titled Robo 2 (Enthiran 2), will be featuring Amy Jackson as the lead heroine. The film is all set to release on the birthday of Rajnikanth, December 12th. Shankar has already been successful in capturing the market of China and other markets of international arena. Now, with the extravagant film, all set to be made on the lavish budget ever, even more than Rajamouli’s Baahubali, he is targeting Hollywood. This is exactly why the heroine has been decided such so that there will be a default market in the Hollywood because of the heroine.

The added bonus

Apart from the casting of the heroine, there is another sensational casting planned by Shankar. Arnold Schwarzenegger has been called for to play the role of the villain, Baddie, in the film. Rumor has it that the legendary superstar and the former Mr. Universe has already been in talks with Shankar and showed plenty of interest about the role. Thus, there has already been a huge expectation in terms of casting and the possible extravaganza since Arnold is famous for his sublime action films. Even during the audio launch of I, Arnold has reportedly been keen on teaming up with Shankar if the director allows him to portray his action and acting skills.

The boost in Hollywood

Because of Arnold’s involvement, the film is all set to get a double boost in terms of the market in US and other English speaking countries. The film’s music will be given by the legendary A. R. Rahman who has already been famous after his multiple Oscars in recent times. The tunes are already out in the market and the producers are expecting the audience to grab the audio CDs because of Rahman’s overseas popularity. Quite a few technicians from Hollywood are working on the graphics of the film and hence, a huge amount of Hollywood investment is already there. So, as the film is all set to be made, the interesting thing will be whether the film will be able to reach its staggering heights of expectation  and break Baahubali’s record.
