Supermodel turned actress Sobhita Dhulipala recently caught eyeballs and turned heads with her impressive performance in Raman Raghav 2.0, a bollywood crime mystery thriller released a few months back. The film was largely appreciated and acclaimed by most of the critics and Nawazuddin Siddiqui wowed the fans again with his portrayal of a brutal serial killer. Now Sobhita, who has won accolades and awards not just in India but all over the world has decided to try her chances in the Telugu film industry down south.
Why Tollywood of all places?
Sobhita with her looks and acting chops and screen presence still has what it takes to make it big in Bollywood as well and the question that obviously rises is why she is choosing to make her mark in Tollywood. The answer has quite some logic to it. Tollywood is not only the second biggest film industry in the country but all over the world. It is not only known for producing big well known blockbusters and box office rages all over the world, its glamour, big profits and big stars but also for the ability to produce a huge number of movies every single year. This obviously means that there will never be any dearth of good work and any newcomer will get offers coming to him or her left right and center.
But that does not mean it’s easy. To make it big in either Tollywood or Bollywood, talent is very important these days. Gone are the days when good looks, and glamorous appearances would have sealed you a big hit. Today, hard work, focus, and great acting skills go hand in hand to make you a big star or send you down the dark alley of unpopularity. So if and when Sobhita gets her offers, she will have to work very hard to make the most of it and will have to leave no stones unturned. The second reason why she wants to opt for Tollywood is because she comes from a Telugu family herself. Knowing the language will help and give a more natural feel to her performances in front of the camera. Also, her contacts and friendships with directors and producers in the area will certainly help her get better roles for herself.
