In a career which covered almost two decades, Srihari had essayed varied types of characters in Telugu cinema. As a main lead, this talented actor was seen in just quite few handful of movies. He was seen as cop in Srisaila, Okkade, Bhairava and Dassana. Several actors including some of the prominent big leads paid their last homage to the phenomenal actor, Srihari. The legendary actor died on Wednesday due to liver related problems. Some of the big names who came to bid the last farewell to the departing soul, were D, Ramanaidu and Dasari Ramayana Rao.
Srihari had essayed many types of characters. Previously he was known to all as a stunt master , when he joined the industry. After which , the actor was introduced as a Comedian, he then turned to become one of the most prominent villains in the Telugu industry. Eventually after playing so many shades he finally did some lead character roles. Though in the initial days of his acting career, the audience did not appreciate his work with much charms, but his work as comedian and also as villain was well accepted in many films, in which includes the sheet anchor of a villain role that he had essayed in blockbuster film, Magadheera. Srihari’s roe in Nenoddantana, was also quite appreciated by the critics and the people in the film fraternity. Slowly he gained love and respect of audience and emerged as one of the best actors to essay any character roles assigned to him.
When bidding the last respect , the producer Mahendra told that the late actor was one of the finest in the industry or may be the last of his league who has played character centric roles with much ease and poise. The producer added that it will certainly be a huge loss for the industry at a large as there are very few actors of genre in the present times. Srihari was very hardworking and dedicated towards his profession as per the producer quotes. It was only after years of playing minor roles in film, that Mahendra was the producer who first took a chance to showcase this actor as bigger image to the industry through his role in “Police”. This role was a turning point , which eventually open the flood gates to bigger mass oriented roles in his life .
The actor was very much into films even in his last days. The lat film that was screen of the late actor was of Ram charan’s Thoofan. It was reported , that the actor was also seeing and doing small roles, and had asked the production team to call the late actor only when the roles required. It was not known to anybody that the actor was suffering from such pains and health related issues. It came as a rude shock to all his close friends and members of the film fraternity.
