We are half-way into 2017 and it has been quite eventful. We’ve witnessed our fair share of Telugu hits & flops. Setting aside the flops, some of the films which have released in 2017’s first half have hit the bull’s eye. They entertained the audiences & have set the cash registers ringing. As the first half of 2017 is coming to a close, we’ve compiled the list of the films which raked in the highest moolah so far upon their release.
In a movie industry the assessment of the profit and loss is always a matter of debate among the cine critics. Every week one or two or more than that movies releases in Tollywood movie industry, so let us round up the evaluation of the hits that we have seen in the first half of the year 2017. Already the industry have released 81 movies across all theatres in the Tollywood, out of which 11 movies have made profits and declared hits.
If we sit to assess the success of Tollywood movie industry, the Tollywood movie industry has made some historical success for the first time courtesy to the much anticipated movie of the year 2017: Baahubali 2. The movie was a sequel to the already history creator Baahubali 1 and there was huge curiosity around it. The movie released in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi language. It is the first of its kind movie which top the charts for box office collection in Bollywood business too. The movie – Baahubali 2 made an alarming 16000 crore business worldwide with more than 1000 crore business from India. The movie is termed as the biggest box office earner of this year. The 2nd instalment of the Baahubali 1 made a whopping 196 cr in AP. The other movie which needs special recommendation is megastar Cheernajeevi’s “Khiladi No 150”. The movie by Cheeranjivi made a business of 100 crore in Telangana.
