YVS’ third film was Yuvaraju starring Mahesh Babu but attained the same result as his second.

YVS was blamed for the debacle of Yuvaraju and he did not get any offers for a long time. It was then Hari Krishna came to her rescue and okayed Lahiri Lahiri Lahirlo, a family story. The film was produced by YVS himself on his Bommarillu vari banner. The film was a super hit. Next he went on to a solo film with Hari Krishna, Seethaiah and the result is one more blockbuster. Finally YVS Chowdary’s midas touch continued with his third film, Devadasu too. He introduced actor Ram to industry with this film.

With three back to back super hits, everyone thought there is no looking back for YVS Chowdary. It was then his next with Balakrishna’s Okka Magadu announced. There were huge expectations on the film as YVS Chowdary is a big fan of NTR and also he is in success streak, but the film ended up as a big disaster pegging back YVS Chowdary’s career. Later on he attempted Saleem with Manchu Vishnu which again is a disaster.  YVS started Rey as debut project of Sai Dharam Tej in October 2010 in his own direction and production. However the film got tangled in financial issues and did not see light till today. Sai Dharam Tej’s second film, Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham started two years later and released ahead of the film.
