Gudumba Shankar story at a glance
Gudumba Shankar (Pawan Kalyan) is an orphan who makes a living out of cheating people. On his way to Hyderabad, he meets a girl Gowri (Meera Jasmine) who runs away from home after her marriage was fixed with a goon, Kumara Swamy (Ashish Vidyardhi). Slowly, he develops feelings for her and goes to her home in the pretext of a marriage coordinator. Rest of the story is about how he cheats Kumara Swamy and wins Gowri's hand.

The audio of the movie was a chartbuster and as for every Pawan Kalyan movie, hype and expectation were plenty. Even though the movie was entertaining, it did not match up to the expectations set and resulted in a flop. -

Director Veera Shankar had directed a flop movie Prema Kosam in 2000. He teamed up with Pawan for this movie and later disappeared in to horizon.
