Samanyudu story at a glance
Chandra (Jagapati Babu) runs a newspaper 'Addam'. With help of his friends (Rajiv Kanakala, Dasari Arun and Archana) they investigate several important cases in the government that deal with corruption. Chandra’s father gets brutally killed by Home Minister Raju (Sai Kumar) and so he decides to teach him a lesson. In a sting operation, Chandra gets hold of Home Minister and blackmails him to do positive things like serving people. The rest of the story is all about how Chandra changes Raju into a good politician.

The movie opened quite positively. The message oriented flick slowly garnered good mouth talk and score a very decent hit at box office. The movie successfully completed 100 days on January 26, 2007. -

- Rumors floated after this film that director of the movie approached Megastar Chiranjeevi with this script. But Chiranjeevi did not like the script and so the project went to Jagapathi Babu.

- “Veedu Yama” song in this film is inspired from “Right Here Right Now” song from Bollywood movie Bluffmaster (2005).
