Kantri story at a glance

Kantri – Kranthi is a tough orphan youth who does anything for money. In an instance, he captures the attention of a local don Seshu (Ashish Vidyardhi) who in turn reports to Kingpin PR (Prakash Raj) who operates from Bangkok. PR takes Kranthi into his gang and later gets impressed with his work. After some time, differences erupt between them and then it is revealed that Kranthi is the son of PR himself. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

  • Trade

The lean look of NTR and his exceptional dances in the movie had captured the attention of all sorts of audience. Naturally, hype and expectations increased as the movie got to the release. Finally, the movie could not measure up to the expectations and remained as an average grosser.
  • Highlights

    • This is the first combination of NTR and Meher Ramesh. Later the duo joined hands once more for Shakthi.
    • Hansika and Tanishaa have paired up for the first time with NTR in this movie.

    • A VFX Company had created a 3-D animation character of NTR for this movie using motion capture. This is first of its kind in any Telugu movie and for any star.
    • NTR’s dances in the movie, especially in “Vayassunnami…” song created a rage then.
    • Meher Ramesh, the director of the movie himself had even penned the lyrics for “123…Nenoka Kantri…” song in the movie.
