Maska story at a glance

Krish (Ram) is a spoilt brat who looks for shortcuts to earn money. Unable to clear his graduation and get a job Krish's only intention is to become rich by marrying Manju (sheela). She happens to be the daughter of Simhachalam (Mukesh Rishi). Simhachalam and Shinde (Pradeep Rawat) run against each other in a presidential election in Delhi. Meanwhile Krish falls in love with her but doesn't have any feelings whatsoever toward her. In the process he meets another girl Meenu (Hansika Motwani) and really falls in love with her. As story unfolds it takes a twist, where Meenu is the unofficial daughter of Simhachalam. With whom will Krish tie the knot? What happens next forms the rest of the movie.

    This is film was made with a budget of 12 crores. Though the movie got mixed reviews but openings of the film were huge. The film overall collected 22 crores share at box office, which is so far the highest grosser in Ram’s career. But still the movie ended as an average at box office.

  • Highlights

    • Hero Ram paired up with Hansika for the first time. Later both featured in Kandireega.
    • Director B. Gopal directed this film after 4 years gap. And after this film till date he did not handle any project.
    • This is music director chakri’s first film with MS Raju. Raju reportedly rejected all the tunes Chakri composed for this film. After working for more than 3 months Chakri’s tunes were accepted by Raju.
    • Lyricist Kandikonda penned all the songs in this film.
  • Sidelights

    • MS Raju has spent extra 4.5 crores for this film. He also distributed the film on this own.
    • Music director Chakri hired technicians from Mumbai and Chennai for doing the re-recording of this film and completed re-recording in 15 days.
