Rebel story at a glance

Deepali (Deekshaseth) is Rishi’s (Prabhas) love interest in the flash back episode. In a pre-planned attack by villains, he loses his entire family and Deepali. Later, he comes to Bangkok along with Brahmanandam and joins as a student where Nandini (Tamannah) happenes to be a dance teacher. Rishi actually comes to Bangkok in search of someone who is closely related to Nandini. He traps her in his love and what happens after that? What’s his mission? Did he succeed in achieving it? The answers to these questions form the remaining story.

    The movie had released with super expectations from all sections of audience but carried disaster talk right from the release day. The movie had collected decent amount of money at the box office but that could not help the producers from deep losses due to the over budget of the film. Later the producers filed a complaint on the director Lawrence and got compensation for his negligence.
  • Highlights

    • This is the first combination of Prabhas and the choreographer turned director Lawrence.
    • Tamannah and Deeksha Seth romanced with Prabhas for the first time in their careers.
    • The interval bang fight in the movie was superbly shot and was one of the major highlights of the movie.
  • Sidelights

    • The producers of the movie lodged a complaint on Lawrence that his negligence and inefficiency were the reasons for the movie budget to get doubled. Later Lawrence had to pay 2.5 Crore compensation to the makers.
    • Anushka was the first chosen heroine. She walked out of the project midway due to differences with Lawrence. Later Tamannah replaced her.
    • Thaman, the initial music composer of the movie left the movie midway due to creative differences with Lawrence. Later, Lawrence himself composed music for the movie.
