Baadshah (NTR) is the son of Ranjan (Mukesh Rishi) who is a trusted aide of mafia don, Saadhu Bhai (Kelly Dorjee). Baadshah impresses Saadhu with his smart work for the first time but later his aggression and enthusiasm irks Saadhu who decides to finish off Baadshah and his family joining hands with rival dons. In this process, with his secret helper in AP Police, Aadi (Navdeep), Saadhu makes Baadshah as the most wanted criminal.

Baadshah with the help of Janaki (Kajal Agarwal) who is daughter of Police commissioner, Jai Krishna Simha (Nasser) eliminates Saadhu. How he does that? What is his motive behind forms the actual story.

Baadshah is a dream project of every NTR fan. Srinu Vaitla had exactly projected him as fans would love to see. Unlike NTR's recent movies, his body shape is constant through out the movie. He looked stylish and manly in all the characters. Needless to mention, his action, dialogue delivery and comedy timing is awesome as always. And coming to dances, NTR is back again.

Kajal Agarwal got a role with substance. Her Banthi philosophy emoted required humour in the first half. Brahmanandam is hilarious as Inspector Padmanabha Simha. His comedy track in the soul of the movie in second half. M.S. Narayana entertained in the first half as film director Revenge Nageswara Rao with some resemlance to Ram Gopal Varma. Vennela Kishore is good.  Navdeep has done well as an evil cop. Hero Siddharth has a very small but very crucial role in the film. Nasser, Ashish Vidyardhi, Pragathi are good. Jayaprakash Reddy, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Master Bharath, Chandra Mohan and Thagubothu Ramesh are wasted in not so important roles.

The story of Baadshah is as simple as the equation 2+2=4. There is a twist in the story which the director did not try to keep under wraps. This had killed the excitement to some extent. Vaitla banked on his forte comedy to keep the movie running. The first half of the movie is a bit slow with too much of story running at too much of pace. The second half is a complete meal. Brahmi's dream comedy track, Sangeeth episode, Justice Chowdary track will be a feast to fans.

The screenplay and dialogues of Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan deserves a special mention here.

All the songs in the movie are instant energizers. NTR's dances added boost to them which enthrall fans and mass audience, Rerecording work is good and added to value to the scenes.

MR Verma's scissors should have been more sharper especially in the first half. AS Prakash art work is good and the production values are superb. Money spent is clearly visible in every frame.

The movie starts of well with a sequence of comedy scenes. The last 30-40 minutes before the interval is the Baadshah track involving a lot of action. This phase actually lags a bit and tests patience of audience. And finally makes the first half okay. The second half runs at impeccable pace with back to back entertainment and fan feast scenes till the completion. To make it simple, NTR is going to hit the box office very hard this summer.
