Badrinath story at a glance

In Takshasila,Bhishma Narayan (Prakash Raj) trains Badri (Allu Arjun) in all the martial arts and appoints him as the protector of the Badrinath temple. Alakananda (Tamannah) who is an atheist comes along with his grandfather and after a couple of interactions, she falls flat for Badri. And in Hyderabad, there is Sarkar (Kelly Dorjee) who is after Alakananda, and wants to make her his daughter-in-law. What happens after that forms the remaining part.

    The initial posters and trailers of the movie had created good curiosity in fans and audience. The high level publicity and promotion campaign of Geeta Arts had managed wonderful opening for the movie in the first week of its release. But the movie could not stand further and ended up as an average grosser at box office.
  • Highlights

    • This is the first combination of Allu Arjun and Tamanna.
    • Allu Arjun and VV Vinayak had joined hands for the second time with Badrinath. Earlier they had teamed up for “Bunny”.
    • Allu Arjun had played the role of a ‘Kshetra Palaka’ (Protector of a Shrine) for the first time in his career.
  • Sidelights

    • Allu Arjun had undergone special training in martial arts in Vietnam before the shooting of the movie.
    • The unit of Badrinath had shot extensively in difficult terrains of Himalayas and surrounding locations.
    • Rao Ramesh had a miraculous escape from death, at the movie shooting for a crucial action sequence on a massive set of Takshasila. It’s heard that he fell at a distance when Kelly Dorjee hit him. Also a huge torch fell just a few inches away from Rao Ramesh’s head. However, he survived with minor injuries
    • Allu Arjun while performing a complex dance composition for a peppy number in ‘Badrinath’ has faced trouble with his shoulder muscle.
