Ishq story at a glance

Rahul (Nitin) happens to meet Priya (Nitya Menon) in the Delhi airport and falls for her instantly. Their flight from Delhi to Hyderabad lands in Goa due to bad weather. Rahul takes Priya to his friend’s marriage and by the time they come back to Hyderabad, Priya too falls for him. What happens to their love story? How they overcome the family hurdles forms the remaining story.

Nitin had more than a dozen of flops in a row till Ishq. Everyone had almost ruled him out as a potential hero. Ishq came as a life line to him. The movie was a super hit considering the amount invested and returns drawn post release. Nitin bounced back after Ishq and bagged many offers.

- Nitin’s first two movies Jayam and Dil were super hits. But he had 15 continuous flops later. The flop streak finally ended with Ishq.
- Ishq is the first combination movie of Nitin, Nitya Menon and debutant Vikram Kumar.
- Ishq was so successful after the release that the TV rights of the movie alone fetched the entire budget of the movie.

Sidelights
- Nitin is a great fan of Power Star Pawan Kalyan. He visited the sets of Gabbar Singh and invited Pawan for the audio function. The later obliged and launched the audio.
- Nitin had penned lyrics for Lachamma song in the movie. He also rendered it along with Thagubothu Ramesh. The track was released on web before the audio release and it had created enough buzz and curiosity.
