Itlu Sravani Subramanyam story at a glance

Sravani (Tanu Roy) and Subramanyam (Ravi Teja) are two strangers who decide to end their lives due to their personal issues. Both coincide at a suicide point near Vizag seashore. They share their motives for suicide. Sravani’s guardians are after her for the inherited wealth and Subramanyam’s friend offers him a job in Dubai. For this Subramanyam offers certain amount of money but later gets to know that his friend was a fraud. With these reasons both decide to end their lives. They drive to Subramanyam’s room and consume sleeping pills. Both will be seen lying on the floor by Subramanyam’s owner. Both will be hospitalized and by the time Subramanyam gets conscious, Sravani’s relatives come and take her away. The rest of the story is how Sravani and Subramanyam reunite.

    • Ravi Teja has showed his caliber as a hero. Later Puri made consecutive films with Ravi Teja, ‘Idiot’ and ‘Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi’ which clicked well at box office.
    • Ravi Teja, who was doing mediocre roles till then, got ‘Stardom’ with this movie. He then went on to give blockbusters at and established himself as ‘Mass Maharaja’.
    • Music director Chakri also got much needed break with this movie and earned him reputation.
  • Highlights

    • Tanu Roy and Samrin were introduced to the Telugu Industry with this movie. Tanu Roy later acted in several movies but could not able to make it to the top slot.
  • Sidelights

    The film fared decently at box office. Puri scored a flop before this film, ‘Baachi’.  But this film was well appreciated by critics and scored a considerable hit and fetched fame to both Ravi Teja and Puri Jagannadh.
