Simhadri story at a glance
Ram Bhupal Varma (Nassar) picks up and grooms a child, Simhadri (NTR). He stays loyal to the entire family. Kasturi (Ankita) is the grand daughter (daughter's daughter) of Ram Bhupal Varma. Kasturi likes Simhadri a lot. Ram Bhupal Varma wants to adopt Simhadri and marry him to Kasturi. Then a shocking truth of Simhadri grooming a mentally retarded girl, Indu is revealed. The marriage will be put off and a series of incidents take place which shifts the movie to Kerala revealing the other side of Simhadri as Singamalai.

The movie carried substantial amount of hype right from its start as it was directed by Rajamouli who earlier directed NTR’s Student No.1. It increased exponentially as the stills of the movie were revealed one after the other. The audio album was a chartbuster then and the movie was a blockbuster hit taking NTR close to the masses. -
