“Definitely worth watching!“

Protagonist Raju [Deepak Saroj] is a teen, who aspires to make films but looses his eyes due to a fire accident. His helpless father unable to bear the burden, gets rid of the teen by admitting him in a blind school. Narayana [Ashish Vidharthi] is a corrupt secretary of that school who ill-treats the visually challenged kids and lives out of their misery misusing the school welfare grant for his own needs.

So, how did the ambitious Raju fit into the new environment? How did he rescue his school mates out of the dungeon? How did he realize his dream of filmmaking - forms the plot of the story.

All the kids including protagonist Deepak Saroj, Farookh, Srinivas Sai and all other visually impaired kids are the heroes of the film. Each one of them delivered a stellar performance no less than any proficient actor.

Ashish Vidyarthi is one of the main assets of the film. He does what he is really well versed at – that is making you actually live the character. He is amazingly endearing in his character ‘Narayana’ in the film that you’ll actually hate him like hell but instantly fall in love with Ashish.

Raghuvir Yadav is yet another stunner as the school teacher – No wonder he is a world-class actor!

Suhasini is aptly fitting as a collector complementing the film.

Appa Rao as ‘Yellayya’ is so beautifully crooked enough [of course sometimes over boarding!]

The rest of the cast did justice to their roles adding value to the film.

Ayodhya Kumar Krishnamsetty did an excellent job being the producer and director of the film. He carried too much weight upon his shoulders but did not deviate from telling the story honestly. The story assistance by V.B. Chowdary rightly deserves a mention here.

Highlights:

-> Good non-preachy storyline

-> Astute storytelling unlike the routine documentary style

-> Brilliant characterization

-> Amazing performances

-> Good Dialogues

-> Music and background score

Drawbacks:

-> Sluggish first half. A trimmed version would have made a better impact.

Music by Josyabhatla Rajasekhara Sarma has added much value to the film. A better re-recording would have been more impactful for a film of this genre. But songs like "Sree Rama Paada...", "Minukumanna Minuguru Purugu ..." and the pathos number "Mullapodalo ..." by Keeravani were truly heart-tugging.

Cinematography by David Fuller, Editing by Kiran Ganti and Art Direction by Rembon Balraj are truly A-class.

A good, honest and dignified film with much feel and less preaching! Definitely worth encouraging! [Given the amount of crap we watch yearly]
