Madhu (Rajendra Prasad) and Chandramohan (Sadguna Rao) are roommates and best friends who reside in Vizag. Madhu is a peculiar person who troubles everybody around him with puzzles and interesting questions. He meets Keerthana in funny circumstances and they fall for each other. Keerthana being a peculiar girl herself, and who also is into puzzles instantly likes Madhu. Keerthana has a best friend and a roommate Vindhya (Rajani) who is has stage acting as a hobby but a very timid girl at heart.
As the story unfolds, Keerthana tells her friend Vindhya story of childhood marriage to a guy named Venkatasivam in her village and she doesn’t consider it as marriage at all. Because of aversion to the marriage incident, she even changes her name from Vighneshwari to Keerthana in the city. But when Keerthana’s uncle arrives in Vizag asking her to visit the village to see her elderly grandfather, she doesn’t want it to do so. Keerthana sends her friend Vindhya as herself in changed identity as her grandfather is blind and deaf.
Coincidentally, Venkatasivam who was forced in child marriage to Vigneshwari is none other than Madhu himself! Just like how Keerthana hates that incident, Madhu changes his name in the city and he sends Sadguna Rao to the same village- requesting him to behave badly and get rid of Vigneshwari!
The real fun begins when Sadguna Rao and Vindhya fall for each other in the process of acting in village. Rest of the story is about what happens to these two young couples and how things fall in place!

Highlights
- The undisputable highlight of the film is Sutthi Veerabhadra Rao as Iravatham, the house owner of Madhu and Chandra Mohan’s place. Being a crazy music lover, he wants to marry a girl who knows music very well. But as fate has it, he gets married to Lalitha (Srilakshmi) who fakes that she is into music before marriage. The real torture for him starts when she pledges to him saying that some day she will become a great singer- thereby practicing everyday at home! Jandhyala showed his best in comedy yet again by generating laughter in such a sad situation too!
- Rajendra Prasad and Chandramohan visit a Chinese Restaurant on the insistence of the latter. The expressions of Rajendra Prasad as the scene unfolds is another highlight in the film!
- Pattabhiram, a popular hypnotist plays an important yet hilarious role in the film.
- Rallapalli acted as Tikamaka- a servant in the village who works in Military as a cook for some years. As a result, he speaks every sentence in all Indian Languages with amazing perfection!
