Gouravam’ director Radha Mohan made it clear on the controversy raised by a particular community regarding the film being oblivious to certain communities. The trailer of ‘Gouravam’ which was released recently landed in trouble as a particular community has raised its objections about the content of the movie and filed a petition for a ban of its release.

The community claimed that the film is based on the disastrous Dharmapuri incident, which was a case of honor assassinations. But Radha Mohan stated that “I have shot 80% of the film before the incident and it has nothing to do with film. If the law orders, then I don’t mind screening the film for that particular community. My intention was never to hurt any community or a particular individual”. The director has urged the people to watch the film first and then can draw their own conclusions. ‘Gouravam’ is expected to hit theatres later this month.
