Puri is back! It has been a long time we have heard some typical hatke dialogues and power packed action since his Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu! Definitely we were missing him in action and here comes this master with his recent piece of magic – Iddarammayilatho. Well, what does one do with the two girls is still a suspense for now, according to the director but here is Puri Jagannadh comfortably revealing about the film and other interesting beads to our iQlik team. What are you waiting for…take a dive into this convo…

Your recent flick 'Iddarammayilatho' is still oscillating about its final trade verdict. What do you have to say about this?

I am happy about the film. Yes, there has been a mixed talk from a while. Some of my media friends didn’t like it but the public are enjoying. The film has grossed a whopping Rs. 20 crore in just 3days – the highest openings in my career. What could be a better proof than this!

So, you are cocksure that you got a home-run?

Of course! See… I know I’m in an industry where anything can happen in a Nano second and where a producer doesn’t even call back a director if his film flops. But, if I could arrange a press meet in Ganesh’s [Bandla Ganesh, producer of Iddarammayilatho] office, that should pretty much tell you how happy am I about this film.

Your film is premised in Spain. But logically, the story of such a kind can even be located in Hyderabad too! What is your take on this comment?

[Smiles] Then Geetanjali can be set in Gajuvaka [a locality in Visakhapatnam] too! See… The moment I incepted this line, I knew it was going to be Spain. Based on the locale, the story sprouted up and let me tell you, the film shaped up exactly the way I want it and in the stipulated budget too! Ganesh is happy as well. So, logically, technically, mechanically anything can be said! [Laughs]

Hmmm… How was it working with Bunny [Allu Arjun] for the second time after 'Desamuduru'?

He’s an absolute delight to work with! He takes your character to an absolutely new horizon. He is such a livewire that you could never be battery down in his presence. I can do any number of films with him if Aravind garu permits me [Laughs].

A big film in Geetha Arts would be great. But, when are we going to hear back about your own production house Vaishno Academy?

Well, I had to face a few IT raids in the time of Shivamani. I’m still tussling with the case and attending court hearings. So, once I’m done with all of that, I may or if no producer is willing to produce my film, then I’ll bring back Vaishno Academy.  [Smiles]

That was a smart answer! So, your future endeavors?

I’m busy working on the immediate one with Mahesh Babu and shall do one with Jr. NT.R as well. Another one with Bunny is also on the discussion table.

Oh! Then is it going to be ‘Iddarabbayilatho…’? [winks]

[Laughs] Wait and see…

Our Pleasure… congrats once again on your 'Iddarammayilatho' success.

Thank You!
