Leaving those smiles which never fade..

After the Hasya Brahma Jandhyala era, who would make us laugh our wits out? Who has the capability to spread such eternal laughter?

These questions were answered by one and only gentleman named E.V.V.Satyanarayana (Prominently known as EVV).  Appula Appa Rao, Atukula Chittibabu, Atthili Satthibabu, Royyala Naidu- these hilarious characters and laughter was created by him. He proved to be the most loyal follower of Hasya Brahma Jandhyala garu through his work. Right from his debut film Chevilo Puvvu- E.V.V.Satyanarayana trusted in laughter. He seems to be from Godavari district,  that is why the clever sarcasm in his films is so evident! Let it be any film, or any actor, the so-called EVV stamp is inevitable. Generating laughter with the art of mannerisms is something which he learnt from his guru Jandhyala garu.

If it’s an EVV film , it can be taken for granted that every comedian in Telugu Cinema would be appearing in it. Even during the filming, the comedians have a great time like a family. Otherwise EVV never feels a film is complete.  People would be mistaken if they think EVV was prominent only with comedy films. In order to be a director with completeness, he even directed a tearful story of a woman- Aame. Despite being a serious film, EVV generated laughter in it through the extreme miser character adorned by Kota Srinivasa Rao. He gave some unforgettable films to comedians like Brahmanandam, M.S.Narayana , L.B.Sriram in their crucial career juncture.  During his tough times with financial crisis due to series of flops, people assumed that he will never be back as a director again. Some even felt EVVs career is finished! But then, he bounced back by establishing his own production house EVV Cinema and proved his worth once again.

He gave a minimum guarantee Hero in the form of financial gains – Allari Naresh (His son) to Telugu Film Industry. EVVs score as a director read 51 films and when he was zooming towards century, sadly God has taken him away from us.

Today is EVVs birthday.  Today he is not present among us, but the endless laughter which he created is still in the form of 51 films he directed. Whenever we watch the hilarious comedy between Brahmanandam and Iron Leg Sastry in Appula Apparao,  or remember the drunk M.S.Narayana from Maa Nannaki Pelli, EVV is present among us..

EVV is always among us..
EVV continues to live in the form of our laughter and happiness..
