Mani Sharma is one of the most prominent Music Composers for Telugu Cinema. His unique style of music comprises not just of fast paced numbers but also mellifluous value. He composed music for more than 140 films in Telugu and Tamil spanning over a film career of nearly 16 years. Mani Sharma is well known for providing good re-recording in modern Telugu Cinema era which elevated the quality of a particular scene.
Born on 11th July 1964 in Machilipatnam, Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh, Mani Sharma initially worked as a keyboard player for popular composer duo of the 90s- Raj-Koti. He later worked as a full time music director by composing just background score for Ram Gopal Varma’s Raathri and victory Venkatesh’s Preminchukundham Raa. He even did the recording work for Antham, which had the tunes from legendary Composer R.D. Burman. Mani Sharma also toured abroad with musical troupe of singer S.P. Balu during his early years.
Mani Sharma got the much needed break in Music director career with Chiranjeevi’s Bavagaru Bagunnara. The fresh sound of his music brought a good hope for Telugu Audience which had not only commercial value but also some really good melodies. He then composed for many successful Hit films in Telugu such as Kushi, Okkadu, Athadu, Pokiri and so on. Most of the songs from him were highly popular and were commercially successful. He was awarded Nandi Award for Choodalani Undhi and Okkadu as well.
Mani Sharma is best known for consistent music composing spanning over a long period of 16 years and is regarded as one of the distinguished composers in Telugu Cinema along with his contemporaries like Keeravani and Koti.
