Nithya Menen does not have an objection to act in any movie if the story is to her liking and the character has substance. She likes challenging roles even more and has now decided to risk as a rape victim. They are remaking a Malayalam film ’22 Female Kottayam’ in both Telugu and Tamil. Nithya Menen is playing a major role in this film and is titled Malini 22 in Telugu. It is the story of a rape victim fighting for justice.
The movie is directed by Shri Priya who herself was a star in the 70’s (Antuleni Katha, Vayasu Pilichindi etc.). This will be her debut movie as a director.
