Non-Bailable warrant against Rajamouli's father

Nampally Criminal Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Tollywood filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad on Monday. Script writer Vijayendra Prasad, who failed to appear before the judiciary in connection with a cheating case filed against him at the Central Crime Station by producer Chengala Venkata Rao had a big blow with court orders.

Venkata Rao, Producer turned politician, who filed the case against Rajanna maker has claimed that he remunerated Rs 41 lakh to Prasad for a script but, he failed to give the story. After court orders in 2005, Prasad promised to pay back the money with interest and handed two outdated cheques of Rs.30 lakh each, but the cheques had bounced. In concern with this issue, Venkata Rao approached CCS Police station and as a result Prasad was served with Non-bailable warrant.

In the interim, cheque bounce case has also been filed against Prasad in Yelamanchili and Visakhapatnam courts.
