The Good Road, a Gujarati film has been nominated for 2013 Oscars from India by the special jury appointed by Film Federation of India. Recent release ‘The Lunch Box’ starring Irfan Khan was supposed to be India’s Oscar entry but, the jury gave a miss to it. The Good Road, which has recently won National Award for Best Feature Film (Gujarati), speaks about the journey of three sets of people who travel on a highway road.

Four other Bollywood films (The Lunchbox, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Ship of Theseus and English Vinglish) and a Bengali film (Shabdo) were also in the race for Oscars but they could not make it to academy awards.

Hope this time, an Indian flick will win an Oscars and here’s wishing ‘The Good Road’ team all the very best.
