Vinayak is one director who redefined action films in Telugu Cinema. He is like a care of address for films having commercial value and paisa vasool entertainment. He attracted masses by showing Heroism in a new dimension and brought the tradition of Sumos flying in air! Most of his films such as Aadi, Tagore, Dil, Bunny and Lakshmi have a good blend of action and entertainment. From Adhurs and Krishna he shifted to entertainment films. Currently he is making a film introducing producer Bellamkonda Suresh’s son as hero. Today is Vinayak’s birthday and on that occasion here is an exclusive chit chat with the director:

You got lot of gap after Nayak?
I usually get into filming only after being very sure with the story and script. It is a routine for every film but this time I am extra careful because I will be launching Bellamkonda Suresh’s son Sai Srinivas. Suresh was the one who introduced me to film industry. We are taking extra care regarding to the story. I did hear many stories before but did not like any. Finally I liked one story and the film is ready to begin.
This film falls under which category?
The film has a right blend of Love, Action and Entertainment. Though the hero is new, the film is being made with high standards. However, this film won’t have “Sumo Flying” Sequences- which were trademark of my earlier films.
Who is the heroine?
Samantha will be the main lead and Devi Sri Prasad is the music director. As of now these people are in the project.
How did you get Sai Srinivas ready for this?
We filmed some scenes with Sai Srinivas and he is doing pretty well. He has the capacity to become a big hero. That is why we are polishing him more so that he would be received well by the audience.
Do you prefer being in the commercial cinema genre?
Films like this ensure success. That is why many people are showing interest in such films. But I don’t want to be confined to only commercial cinema. That is why I am planning a film with new heroes in the coming year.
It is told that you will be directing Chiranjeevi’s 150th film. Is it true?
We worked on lot of stories with Chiranjeevi’s 150th film. But he became busy with Politics later. As a result, I am not sure if I can do it now. When Chiranjeevi will be ready, I will be ever ready to make a film with him!
What about Adhurs -2? Is it on the cards?
I and Jr.NTR discussed many stories and suddenly thought of making Adhurs-2. However, it is not yet confirmed.
We hear that you are going to venture into Politics?
I also heard the news that I might be contesting in the coming elections or at least campaign. It must be due to my family’s association with Politics. As of now I don’t have interest on Politics. Maybe I might in the future!
Can we expect Art films from you?
I always like to make action films and watch them as well. But I never thought I would make only those types of films. An art film with commercial value should be made- provided the producer is not at loss. If not now, I will surely do an experimental film in the coming future and prove my specialty.
What is one aspect which you cannot accept?
I don’t know why...somehow I cannot accept failure easily. Even my family says this. I cannot digest if something I wanted or expected does not happen.
Do you find any sort of dissatisfaction in your life?
Dissatisfaction occurs only when we expect to achieve something and fail to do that. But I never expected my life to be in one particular way. My life is God’s blessing and it doesn’t have room for dissatisfaction.
