Veteran Comedian AVS is no more

The veteran comedian Amanchi Venkata Subrahmanyam (AVS) who was in a critical condition breathed his last a short while ago. The artist who was sustaining severe liver and Kidney trauma is 56 years old. Due to his ongoing battle with these diseases -he had a liver transplant earlier - AVS had lost a tremendous amount of body weight and muscle mass in the last few years.

In his weakened state, he was being treated in hospital for the last 10 days. But the intensity of the disease made the concerned doctors helpless. That is why the family of AVS had decided to take home and let him go peacefully.  And it is now confirmed that he is no more.

In addition to many comedy roles in more than 500 films, AVS had also donned the roles of director, producer, screenplay writer and lyricist. The comedian started his career as a journalist and later entered into films. AVS was introduced into Telugu Film industry by well-known director Bapu in 1993 With Mr. Pellam and the last film he featured was Pavitra in Telugu.
