In prior to Naga Chaitanya’s entry into Tollywood there were four heroes from Akkineni family
Well, even before Chaitanya’s debut, Akhil entered into films with Sisindri film. However, first two actors are huge stars in Tollywood and they made their own mark. All eyes were on him while debuting with Josh. Many thought he would imitate his Dad or follow his Grandfather. But with every possible opportunity he showcased his own trademark heroism. Keep-aside Chaitu’s hits and flops, you can notice completely different genres in his so-far filmy career. He should be patted on the back for not making use of his family background to build his own following.
Although the brand ‘AKKINENI’ is a wild card entry into Film industry, Chaitanya never spoke about them in his films unlike other heroes who repeatedly remind their grandfather’s and father’s legacy. And that is why Chaitanya is recognized as Chaitanya… to keep it simple.
With Yem Maaya Chesave, he proved that he can gel in love stories and did 100 percent justice to ‘100% Love’. With back-to-back hits, Chaitu tried to do mass oriented flicks. Then came Dhada and Bezawada, both the films have disappointed Akkineni fans and common audiences. Many thought it’s the end of Chaitu’s career but he bounced back with Thadaka and showcased his other side. Chaitu attracted the mass viewers with this film and next in the race is Auto Nagar Surya which is gearing up for release in December. Apart from this film, Chaitu has doing Manam with his Grandfather and Dad. Hope he will come with more different films to entertain the audience and carry forward the legacy of Akkineni Family.
As Tollywood’s Nava Yuva Samrat turns another year older somehow gets even more charismatic and we wish him a very Happy Birthday.
