Actor Siddharth’s upcoming film, to be directed by a debutant Prasad Ramar, is said to be an official remake of a Kannada movie, Lucia. While Kannada version of this film has Ninasam Satish in the lead role, Siddharth will reprise it in Telugu and Tamil. Reporting about this, Siddharth himself tweeted, “My next film starting in Jan is the official remake of Kannada film ‘LUCIA’. Prasad Ramar (debut), Santosh Narayan, CV Kumar.”

Producer C V Kumar, who shot to fame with super hit flicks Pizza and Villah, will venture this project under the banner of Thirukumaran Entertainments. Santosh Narayanan, who earlier teamed up with CV Kumar for Pizza and Villa will handle the music department. Expressing his gratitude, the Something Something actor added to his twitter handle, “Very thrilled to be working with pathbreaking producer CV Kumar (Pizza, Soodhu Kavvum). Young & talented team. Wish us luck:)”

Lucia (2013) is the most talked Kannada film in the recent times and it has bagged “Audience Choice Best Film’ at London-Indian Film Festival. The film is a well-crafted psychological thriller which takes a gripping turn towards the end.
