Jai Ho is a Bollywood film starring Salman Khan and Daisy Shah in the lead roles. It is directed by Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan and the music is composed by Sajid-Wajid and Devi Sri Prasad. Here is an iQlik exclusive Movie review of Jai Ho:

Plot:
Jai Agnihotri (Salman Khan) is a suspended ex-army officer who believes in change and wishes to start a social movement that prescribes people to help some one and ask them to help three other people instead of expecting a 'thank you'. Jai eventually believes that this word spreads by mouth publicity and the whole system would change gradually. His sister Geetha (Tabu) and his entire family supports him. Eventually, in a series of incidents, Jai takes head on with Home Minster Darshat Singh (Danny Denzongpa) who repeatedly attacks his family to avenge his daughter's debacle. So, how did Jai's mission got affected and how did Jai triumph over the evil forms the plot of the story.

Performances:
Salman Khan is as usually flawless. He was amazing throughout with every emotion and especially delivered a stunner in the action episodes. Finally he did tear open his shirt and gave a sunder darshan of his smoking hot body to the fans. Well, they are flattered.

Tabu: It has been long time seeing Tabu and that too as Salman's sister. This character was a cake walk or in a way morning walker for an internationally acclaimed athlete.

Daisy Shah: She gave a good showreel of her dances in her introduction. We know she is dazzling dancer but we are looking for a heroine in the film who can make us believe in the character even though it is a shorter one. She is hot, glamorous and needs to mellow a lot. By the way, it is her debut film, so she found an excuse. Lucky Daisy!

Danny Denzongpa: He was impressively shrewd and wicked as a bad politician. But unfortunately got nothing to do much in a Superstar film.

The 'Chillar party' fame kid was ekdam khallas and was a cracker enough to crack some gags in the film.

The rest of the cast were unfortunately offered nothing to make us feel 'wow'. All 'come-deliver our dialog-leave' types.

Direction:
'Sohail Khan, brother of Salman Khan'. Unfortunately we had to mention this phrase when we mention about a creative job. If we are not creative, in the worst possible case, we should be creative copycats at least. But Sohail Khan could be none!

Jai Ho (a remake of Telugu Stalin) is powerful storyline  that was told so intensely in the Telugu version. But Sohail Khan has completely punctured the poise and aura of the film in the name of adaptation.

Highlights:
Salman Khan's performance.
The storyline and the plot line.
The action episodes especially the motor cycle chase in the second half..
And....ooops nothing else. Sorry!

Drawbacks:
The biggest drawbacks were the
-Shoddy storytelling
-Flimsy writing, pulp-less scenes and dailogs.
-Lack of powerful characterization
-Irrelevant songs

Finally, Sohail Khan should have at least completely xeroxed Stalin.

Music:
Music by Sajid-Wajid was commercial enough to entertain fans but the background music was absolutely feeble. While the composition 'Nachore..' failed to make an impression.

Others:
Editing in the action episode was slick and worth a mention. Cinematography in the songs and especially in the climax episode adds intensity to the scene.

Verdict:
If you are a hardcore Salman, you can bear this 'Jai Ho' beat. Otherwise, it should be a safe miss to our Telugu audience who have already watched a much better version 'Stalin'. Jai Ho Sohail Khan!
