Mohan Babu, one of those versatile actors that Telugu Cinema always boasts of. His is best known for his peculiar dialogue delivery and histrionics. He can bring life to any character he adorns with tremendous ease. His upcoming multi-starrer film Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda along with his family members Manchu Manoj and Vishnu is scheduled to release on 31st of this month. Tell about how special is Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda?
Well, this film is very close to my heart. It is really special to act with my family members.
Any special reason behind releasing the film on your own?
The reason is simple. The film has been made on a budget of 30 crores. But the buyers were interested around 20 crores. That is why; we are releasing it on our own banner. We are releasing the film on a big scale on the 31st of this month. Compared to our previous home production releases, this is the biggest release.
About your character in this film...
I am playing a character named ‘Naidu’ in this film. It is a very different role compared to my previous projects. I am sure it would be entertaining to my fans and audience.
Please tell us more about Manoj’s lady attire in the film?
(Smiles) He plays a lady character named ‘Mohini’ in the film that wouldarrive in the second half. And I am very confident that this role would fetch him such fame what ‘Bruhannala’ role in the classic film Nartanasaala fetched Annagaru [Sr.NTR].
About the highlights of the film…
The story itself is the biggest asset of the film. The way director Sri Vaasu made the film is outstanding. Kona Venkat and BVS Ravi gave us an excellent hilarious sure shot script.
It is long time Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon has made a comeback in Tollywood, how did she become a part of the film?
Yes it was indeed great working with her. We initially approached Sobhana for that role but had to move on as she couldn’t sign in some call sheet issues. So, we had to move on to RaveenaTandon. I’m happy she is a part of this project
How come two composers for this film?
I share great bonding with composer Bappi Lahari. We have worked for lot of successful pictures. And I know his son Bappa Lahari, very talented composer. So, he has been chosen as one composer. Well, Manoj likes Atchu very much hence he also joined the team.
Finally, any word to your fans and the audience?
Just only one word - We have done the best from our side to make an out and out entertainer. Audiences arethe best judges and their judgment is ultimate for me. I hope everybody watches the film and enjoy it.
