‘Nana Patekar’ is a name synonymous for the word ‘acting’. He is definitely India’s pride and one of the finest actors in the contemporary world cinema. He almost deserves every award on the planet. And our Indian government has recently honored with ‘Padma Shri’ (2013), the fourth highest civilian award of the country for his contribution to Indian Cinema.

Such great news and anyone would be jubilant about this. Guess his reaction?

He opines that he does not deserve such a prestigious award. And his logic is that he is not doing any service to Cinema but instead taking money (remuneration) for his films. So accordingly, he feels he is not liable for such an award. According to him, it still surprises him why a legend like Dhyan Chand hasn’t been yet conferred with any such high decree award but instead being unnecessarily distributed annually.

Well, these views have now become controversial over the social networking platforms. Will he withdraw these owing to any pressures?

We are not sure because he is Nana Patekar – simple, straightforward and zara hatke!
