Even trains and flights can be any better than our Telugu films. Unlike earlier, Telugu films both big and small announce a date and later keep postponing. Once or twice is understandable and acceptable. But these days, every film (big or small) has got some 3-4 release dates on an average.
Films like Rey, Bheemavaram Bullodu, Auto Nagar Surya, Basanti, Bangaru Kodipetta are a few to mention. Following the saga of postponements, Naga Chaitanya’s Auto Nagar Surya has been once again postponed. The film that has surpassed many hurdles so far has likely got no end to its race. Even director Deva Katta appeared distressed by the chronic delay on his personal twitter space. The film which was recently slated to release this 27th February is postponed again and the latest date hasn’t been announced yet.
Basanti, yet another anticipated movie of the season is also reportedly postponed. The only sigh of relief is that it has been delayed just by a day. The film which was scheduled to release on 27th Feb will now release on 28th Feb. Even Navdeep and Swati starrer Bangaru Kodipetta is also postponed due to reasons best known to the makers. It is tentatively rescheduled in the first week of March. And forget about Rey, which was announced to release on 20th Feb. The film that marks the debut of Sai Dharam Tej has been postponed some zillion times already and now the makers are still so tight-lipped about the release.
But in spite of repeated postponements, it is Mr. Bheemavaram Bullodu who is coming on the promised date i.e., 27th Feb. This family entertainer waited so long for satellite rights and due to Andhra-Telangana agitations. But now Bheemavaram Bullodu affirms “No more postponements” and shall hit the screens on 27th Feb. It is probably the only film that is releasing on 27th February and hopefully, the film releases for sure.
