The news about Maniratnam’s latest film with top stars from South was the most talked about one a couple of weeks back. It was even said that the film will be having its regular shoot from June 2014 and will be released at the time of year-end festival season. The probable stars list included Mahesh Babu, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Aishwarya Rai. But, Aishwarya was replaced by Shruti Haasan due to some personal issues!
Now, Mahesh Babu is said to have backed out of this prestigious project citing the “lack of dates” reason. Though there’s not even a single source of official confirmation about this project’s happenings, it has always been in the news ever since a strong speculation started. Mahesh is currently busy with Sreenu Vaitla’s Aagadu and will be doing his next with Mirchi director Koratala Shiva. As Mani wanted bulk dates from Mahesh, the PR team of Mahesh has smoothly rejected the project.
Nothing looks promising for this project as of now, but we’ve seen how these kinds of issues caused head-aches for the creative director in the past and how he emerged as a winner in the end! All said and done, Mahesh might be missing a golden opportunity of working with one of the greatest film makers that India has ever produced!
