Top director Shankar had this dream of making a film with Ajith Kumar and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles since many years [around 15 years]. 1998 hit film Jeans was supposed to be made with Ajith and Aishwarya, but ended up with Prashanth as its hero. 12 years later, Shankar thought of making Robo film with Ajith and Aishwarya. But, the film was eventually made with Rajnikanth as the hero.
As per the latest grapevine, Shankar is on the verge of finalizing his next film. And, the film will be a psychological entertainer with Ajith and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. Yes, you heard it right. Shankar wants to fulfill his long term plan of directing the star combo. If the sources are to be believed, this film will be having the hero/heroine playing dual roles.
But, whether this speculation turns into a reality or not has to be seen now. With Shankar being busy with his AI film [with hero Vikram] and Ajith being busy with Thala55 [directed by Goutam Menon], nothing is confirmed yet…
