In the last few years, Tollywood has seen a rise not just in the quantity of films but also in the quality of filmmaking. This is on par with Bollywood big size projects and currently one film is on the floors which can change the face of Tollywood. This is the magnum opus ‘Rudramadevi’.
More than what is happening with the film, a new discussion has begun. This has to do with the political support for the film. well, ‘Rudramadevi’ is a film coming after bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and the story is based on a Telangana warrior queen who has great historic importance.
Though she is an inspiration for all Telugus, her roots are in Telangana so the people are coming up with few expectations. They are hoping that the new government will grant tax waivers and offer some free screenings to school children and some other initiatives. Given the heritage of Rudramadevi, this would be a commendable effort from the new rulers of Telangana.
