Nagarjuna's TV Debut Stirs up a Storm

Yuva Samrat Akkineni Nagarjuna, who recently made his small-screen debut with the Telugu version of "Kaun Banega Crorepati" titled "Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu" (MEK), registered the highest Gross Rating Points (GRP) last week.

The MAA TV channel statement regarding the same said the programme had created an all time record of 9.7 Television Viewer Rating last week. It also got hold of the top four positions in the nonfiction category since the time it was launched.  Television Audience Measurement (TAM) corroborated this fact with the staggering GRP of 100 last week. TAM said the show is maintaining at an imprressive TVR of 6.7. The captivating show has exceeded all the pre existing GRP records for blockbuster films which aired on MAA TV. While the highest GRP till date was 104, MEK crossed it with a record breaking 110 GRP last week.

It is indeed a great achivement for Nagarjuna in small screen as well to be part of a game show which captured the interest of many viewers throughout. MEK has completed eight episodes till date. Nagarjuna has proved that he is a Yuva Samrat irrespective of the medium his presence is in!
