Galipatam is an upcoming romantic film starring Dialogue King Saikumar’s son Aadhi and Erica Fernandes in lead roles. Music for the film is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo and it is produced by Racha fame Sampath Nandi. Here is an exclusive audio review of the album:

The album begins with an energetic number Dhoomapanam having funky lyrics and entertaining orchestration. The local percussions make sure the fun element in the song is evident. The power packed trumpets follow the track with ease throughout.  The lively electric guitars in the second interlude add much vigor to the overall track.

The undercurrent energy continues with Gaalipatam Title Track sung by the supremely talented singer Shankar Mahadevan. The local percussions and fun filled chorus add much value with the powerful vocals. The orchestration is essentially a blend of House Mix with Indigenous Folk music.

Hey Paaru arrives next in a contrasting manner with breezy orchestration and the soothing voice of Adnan Sami. The relaxing ambience with the layered orchestration adds much to the musical environment.  The interludes are soothing and a huge pleasure to hear. This song can be termed as the highlight of the album for the brilliance ambience it creates.

The energy is back with Pani Puri Dinchak which is a variant of Title track having kid chorus. This track has a different dimension of fun element and Shankar Mahadevan does the best justice to this version as well. The electronica and riffs used in the midst of local percussions work out very well for the composition.

Tere Mere Saath is a funky composition with peculiar rhythm section and interesting orchestration. The interludes have a good string section arrangements and the power packed rhythm is blended artfully with harmonium.

The album arrives to a finale with Yeh Allah in a breathtakingly breezy manner. The track has a beautiful Sufi flavor associated with it in the superior voice of Kailash Kher. The Hip-Hop rhythm and contemporary touch goes brilliantly with the Sufi vocals. This track retains the soulfulness of the album with a poetic touch.

Verdict:

Gaalipatam is an experimental album with fresh sounding and fun filled tracks. The new composer Bheems does a great job in creating a blissful ambience with his music. However, lack of commercial tracks may not appeal for mass section of the audience.
