Malayalam films have always been rich in content and Mohanlal is the reigning Superstar in Mollywood. His last movie Drusyam was a super hit there and is remade in Telugu with the same title. Venkatesh has reprised the role of Mohanlal in Telugu and Meena is the common leading lady in both the versions. Living up to it’s expectations, the movie is going strong at the Box office and given Venkatesh the much needed solo hit after a long time.
After Drushyam, being remade from Malayalam, now one film is putting the things in reverse mode. We are talking about National Award winning Director Neelakanta’s Maaya. Sources reveal few members from Mollywood heard the story and were very impressed with the content and substance. They are now keen to bag the remake rights. Currently, negotiations are said to be going on and very soon the deal will be finalized.
Directed by the national award winner Neelakanta and produced by Madhura Sreedhar, Maaya is gearing up to hit the screens during first week of August.
