Despite being the daughter of Legendary Actor Kamal Hasan, Shruthi relied on her talent rather than her father’s influence. Being a singer and musician by profession, she chose acting as her alternate career option. Her career had a bumpy ride with a string of flops and it was the film Gabbar Singh which changed her fortunes and made her a top star overnight. While Shruti is on her toes fulfilling her commitments she also seems to be bearing the brunt of it. This was revealed when she posted a picture of hers in her social networking profile. It was added with the line – ‘Shooting at Karaikudi! Melting in the heat!!’. True to her anguish, that place located in Tamil Nadu is somewhat hot right now.
Shruti is currently busy with the shooting of her Tamil film Poojai at Karaikudi wherein she is pairing up with Vishal in this film.
