The craze for Neelakanta’s Maaya, the first-of-its kind film on ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) in recent times is increasing day-by-day. The movie released on the 1st of this August and even amidst tough competition, the movie is gaining positive response from all over even in terms of collections.
Now adding to this, the movie is grabbing the attention of producers from other regional industries. It is said that the movie shall be remade in Kannada by a noted production house that earlier remade Prema Katha Chitram in Kannada. Now the producer of Maaya Madhura Sreedhar Reddy confirmed the same through his tweet –
"Kannada remake rights of Maaya bagged by Dhanlaxmi Printer Sridhar Reddy & Murugappan. Previously they did PREMA KATHA CHITRAM in Kannada. "
Interestingly, some Malayalam film makers are getting ready to attain the remake rights. And according to the latest reports, some Tamil producers are also showing interest over the film and have even requested director Neelakanta for some special screening. So, there are chances of Neelakanta and Madhura Sreedhar arranging a special screening of Maaya for a group of Tamil producers and distributors very soon.
Anyhow, it is a very good sign to see other industries coming forward to take our stories.
