If you have ever visited a casino in foreign countries, you would notice that there is always music or songs being played in the background. While most of them are all focused on their gambling and making money, there are also those whose attention is caught with some distinct tunes.
Now, reports are coming from the famous Sands casino in Singapore that a song from India is creating a stir. Well, it happens to be the song ‘Ladio…’ from the Tamil movie Ai. The tune composed by the Madras Mozart A R Rahman has struck a chord with the Singaporeans and people of other nationalities.
Even other songs from Ai. are being played there but ‘Ladio..’ seems to have become their favorite. You might say that Singapore is filled with large population of Tamilians and hence this response but the casino is usually filled with more of Chinese and many Europeans. Given Rahman’s global recognition, the songs of Ai are getting the right kind of response at an international level.
